Another Saturday and another quick post. Today’s post will be seen everywhere across the world. Facebook news feed is changing this week, but what does this mean for you and me, this means more connection with other social networks such as Pinterest and StumbleUpon and bigger pictures for our shame from the night before.. For business it means engagement with potential customers with every piece of their content.
One of the main reasons for this is the percentage of News Feed Stories that are photos from 25% in November 2011 to almost 50% in January 2013.
Visually they are going to remove the left side bar, in my opinion I always had trouble with chat. I remember every few days during last summer chat wouldn’t work even I prayed.
They are also changing the ‘like’ pages. When a user Likes a Facebook Page, their friend will see a much larger image of the Facebook Page in the story, including the Page’s profile picture and cover photo. This will drive much higher engagement with fans friends on that story
Shared link stories changes include focus much more on the visual content, as opposed to the users who shared it. You can hover over the pictures of each friend to see what they said about the video in the comments section below.
Other changes include following the news feed ‘Following feed’ is a new News Feed choice that allows users to see every post in chronological order from Facebook Pages they “Like”. Improvements to the mobile app include making the newsfeed identifical to the facebook oriningal newsfeed.
The release of the newsfeed will differ in relation to location.Living in Ireland I have a feeling it may be another few weeks. Till then enjoy the newsfeed.
